PDF (Painful Document Format???) Dec. 17th, 2012 @ 06:21 pm
Dear Lazywebs,
How does one go about editing a stupid PDF these days? I have a fellowship application that I can open in Apple Preview, Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, and Adobe Reader XI (had to download this I thought it may be a versioning problem). It is the usual form business: name, address, institution, etc, etc (pages of this stuff). When I click on the __________ I get a text cursor, but I can't seem to input any text!! I tried exporting to a word document but that was a disaster. All I can seem to do in Adobe products is add blue comments, no luck doing anything in Preview. It's nearly 2013, do I really have to print this thing, fill out 5 pages, and scan it back it to submit??

We Start Tommorrow Aug. 11th, 2011 @ 10:43 am
We've made the switch. We are now officially at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Our new Doctor (who we met with on Monday) is Ursula A. Matulonis, M.D., she is very nice but very frank, we really like her and her fellow. She is a prolific publisher and has written a lot on Quality of Life aspects of Gynecological Cancer and many papers on Ryan's specific form of cancer.

Ryan starts Steroids tonight and Chemotherapy tomorrow, we don't know what time yet.

I am trying to do a "fun" dinner tonight.

» Water Usage Project
This is an interesting water usage build that was featured on Hack A Day today. By giving real time feedback, they were able to reduce the amount of water used to wash hands from 2 gallons (leaving the water running the whole time) to just 0.5 gallons.
